EW reports that TV and Broadway star Valerie Harper will appear on the March 11 broadcast of the Syndicated show THE DOCTORS to discuss her recent cancer diagnosis.

The star in question is the in her own words "deliciously disgraceful" actress and celebrity Tallulah Bankhead, channeled, in a very interesting bit of casting, by Stefanie Powers. Stefanie Powers was actually herself part of the event being dramatized, having co-starred with Bankhead in the very movie in question, and given that Powers has of late distinguished herself as another faded and dotty star, namely Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, she is an utter natural for the role.

ABC News is reporting today that Broadway and TV veteran Valerie Harper has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. According to the report, the actress received the tragic news on January 15th and has as little as three months to live.

The Pasadena Playhouse announced that Playhouse 'Angels' and current Board Members Mike Stoller and Corky Hale Stoller are the anonymous donors whose one million dollar gift in May 2010 was vital to The Playhouse's emergence from bankruptcy that summer. It inspired additional substantial donations as a part of a matching fundraising campaign.
