LOOPED Moves Bushnell Opening to 5/7

By:

Four-time Emmy Award Winner & Tony Award Nominee Valerie Harper was hospitalized last week, interrupting rehearsals for the national tour of LOOPED. She is currently being treated in Manhattan and is expected to make a full recovery within weeks.

"Val is in great spirits and she is getting stronger every day", playwright and producer Matthew Lombardo said. "She is surrounded by the love and support of her husband and producer Tony Cacciotti, longtime friend and director Rob Ruggiero, and all the wonderful members of our LOOPED family. She is very eager to get back to work!"

LOOPED was to launch its national tour at The Bushnell's Belding Theater January 24 - February 6; it will now be performed in the venue's larger Mortensen Hall May 7-12, 2013. All Bushnell patrons who have purchased tickets to LOOPED will receive new tickets. For the May run, season ticket holders will now have their regular seats on their scheduled performance night or matinee in the Mortensen. Single-ticket buyers will be contacted by the Bushnell box office in the next several weeks and re-ticketed from their Belding seats to comparably-priced seats in Mortensen Hall.

"Everyone at The Bushnell wishes Val a speedy recovery, and we fully support her need to recuperate over the next few weeks." said Bushnell President and CEO David Fay. "We are thrilled that LOOPED will remain on our season schedule; the production has been selling extremely well and audiences are looking forward to Valerie's extraordinary Tony-nominated performance in Matthew's hysterical comedy."

The LOOPED tour will now launch in Fort Lauderdale at The Parker Playhouse (February 26 - March 3) followed by a Baltimore run at The Hippodrome Theatre (March 5-17) then to Boston at The Majestic Theatre (April 30-May 5) followEd Hartford (May 7-12). More cities will be announced for the Summer/ Fall of 2013 as that information becomes available.
