Renowned singer and actress Liza Minnelli starts off the 'TV Land Awards 2011' with a bang on Sunday, April 17 at 9 PM ET/PT with a rousing performance of her classic hit 'New York, New York'! For the first time ever in the show's nine-year history, the awards were held in good old New York, and television's finest came out to celebrate. Be sure to tune on Sunday at 9 PM ET/PT to see what John Travolta called 'absolutely the coolest night in television.' Not only does the world love Betty White, but as Jamie Lee Curtis so poignantly pointed out at the 40th annual Actors and Others for Animals, Celebration of Caring, it seems every inhabitant of the world also wants Betty White to love them. Adding to a long list of organizations wanting, pleading and begging Ms. White to be their honoree, Actors and Others for Animals holds a very special place in Betty's heart. An organization she has been apart of since its first meetings, that helps those to whom her heart is fondest - Pets. A point Ms. Curtis illustrated by dawning puppy attire (furry floppy ears and paws), before bestowing the honoree with doggy kisses.

NBC will broadcast 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers,' (working title) a new hidden-camera comedy show hosted and executive-produced by seven-time Emmy Award winner Betty White, it was announced today by Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

Furthering TV Land's expansion into the original sitcom landscape, the network announced today that it has signed several popular television and film actors to star in its three upcoming pilots. Fran Drescher ('The Nanny'), Tichina Arnold ('Everybody Hates Chris'), John Michael Higgins ('Best in Show,' 'Kath & Kim'), D.W. Moffett ('Friday Night Lights'), Rita Moreno ('West Side Story'), Valente Rodriguez ('George Lopez') and Robert Walden ('All The President's Men') will star in 'Happily Divorced' based on Drescher's life; Donald Faison ('Scrubs'), Wayne Knight ('Seinfeld,' 'Hot in Cleveland'), David Alan Basche ('The Starter Wife') and Kristen Johnston ('3rd Rock From The Sun') will headline an untitled Mark Reisman sitcom; and Christine Taylor ('Zoolander,' 'Arrested Development'), Barry Watson ('Samantha Who?,' '7th Heaven') and Sherri Shepherd ('The View,' '30 Rock') will star in a comedy pilot by Terri Minsky tentatively titled 'Rip City.' Anne Meara ('The King of Queens') will guest star in Minsky's show. All three pilots, which were previously announced in January, will be multi-camera and will tape in front of live audiences in February.
