Back in May, the Manhattan Theatre Club, by special arrangement with Colin Callender, Robert Cole, Frederick Zollo and The Shubert Organization, announced an extension for Casa Valentina, the world premiere play by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello. An additional two weeks were added to the critically acclaimed limited engagement, through Sunday, June 29th and no more extensions are planned.

Reed Birney, nominated for a Tony Award in Casa Valentina, and Nikki M. James, winner of the Tony Award for The Book of Mormon will appear in a reading of Ken Kaissar's new play Nude Study at Manhattan Theatre Club Studios (311 West 43rd Street, 8th Floor) today, June 20 at 2:00 PM.

HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Kenny Leon, is now in previews and will open on Thursday, June 19. Holler If Ya Hear Me, the world inside Tupac Shakur's music and lyrics, blazes to life in a non-biographical story about friendship, family, revenge, change and hope. Inner city lives struggle for peace against the daily challenges they face in this entertaining and original musical. Through the poetry of one of the 20th century's most influential and culturally prominent voices, we are given a window into realities of the streets still relevant today. Before Broadway's biggest night on Sunday, June 8th, 44 productions will have opened on Broadway in the 2013-14 season. Of those productions, 12 were eligible for Best New Musical and 10 were eligible for Best New Play at the 68th Annual Tony Awards.

Two legends came together today with BroadwayWorld.com in honor of this Sunday's Tony Awards. Rosie O'Donnell (while en route to Parker's graduation), who will be receiving the 2014 Isabelle Stevenson Award and Grammy, Tony, Emmy award-winner Cyndi Lauper chatted by phone (while on tour with Cher) about the Tonys, Rosie's Theatre Kids, her theatrical favorites, and of course about LAST year's big winner - KINKY BOOTS! The Isabelle Stevenson Award is presented annually to a member of the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations. If that doesn't describe Rosie, we don't know what does. O'Donnell will be presented with the 2014 Isabelle Stevenson Award for her commitment to arts education for New York City's public school children.

Very few stars have had a career that rivals that of the remarkable Harvey Fierstein. A seven-time Tony-nominee, he has two acting wins (TORCH SONG TRILOGY and HAIRSPRAY), one for Best Play (TORCH SONG), and one for Best Book of a Musical (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES). He also has three other Best Book nominations (A CATERED AFFAIR, NEWSIES, and KINKY BOOTS). In addition to being a phenomenal writer and actor, Harvey is also one of Broadway's most outspoken activists for the arts and equality, making him Broadway's Unofficial Mayor!
