The Ordway Presents TAIKOPROJECT Tonight

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts will welcome TAIKOPROJECT for a one-night-only performance tonight, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. The show is a part of the Ordway's World Music and Dance Series, sponsored by Target.

When Andrew Lippa, the Broadway composer, was commissioned by the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus to write I AM HARVEY MILK for its 35th anniversary in 2013, the hour-long work about the assassinated gay rights activist was called an oratorio. While it was a success from the start, people involved already thought it was ready to move on to something bigger. The result is I AM ANNE HUTCHINSON /I AM HARVEY MILK, which has its world premiere on April 23, at the Music Center at Strathmore, in North Bethesda, MD, a Metro ride from Washington, DC, starring Kristin Chenoweth, and composer-librettist Lippa.

THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER Opens at The DiMenna Center Today

Fresh off its World Premiere run at Marlboro College in Vermont, THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER comes to NYC for its New York Premiere beginning today. Directed by Brittany Goodwin, with Music and Libretto and produced by Felix Jarrar, opens tonight, April 15th, 2016. This is a strictly limited engagement that continues through Saturday April 16th, 2016 in Mary Flagler Cary Hall at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music (450 W 37th street NY, NY 10018).

10th Annual Make Music New York Set for June

The Emmy Award-winning sketch comedy series MADtv is returning to television, making the jump to primetime with eight all-new one-hour episodes on The CW Network; a premiere date and time for the series, from Telepictures, will be announced at a later date.

Regal Entertainment Group Partners with Atom Tickets for Mobile Ticketing

Regal Entertainment Group, a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announced its national partnership with Atom Tickets, the first-of-its-kind theatrical mobile ticketing platform and app. The app launched in select markets across the U.S. with Regal earlier this year and is projected to support over 7,300 screens by the end of the year.

GHOST QUARTET and INTERGALACTIC NEMESIS Coming to AT&T Performing Arts Center This Spring

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that tickets for GHOST QUARTET and THE INTERGALACTIC NEMESIS will go on sale Today, February 11 at 10 a.m. GHOST QUARTET, a song cycle about love, death and whiskey, with music and lyrics by two-time OBIE Award winner Dave Malloy, will be performing four shows April 7 through April 9, 2016.
