Ring in the New Year With Aaron Tveit And Charles Busch & Friends At 54 Below

Celebrate New Year's Eve at Feinstein's/54 Below as two beloved stars return to Broadway's Supper Club to usher in the new year: Actor, playwright, and award-winning cabaret artist, Charles Busch (Die Mommie Die, Psycho Beach Party, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife), and the Broadway, film, and television star Aaron Tveit (Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal, Les Miserables).

Michael Morpurgo's WAR HORSE To Be Narrated Live By Juliet Stevenson, Accompanied By Royal Scottish National Orchestra

Award-winning author Michael Morpurgo will read his heart-breaking War Horse live at Edinburgh's Usher Hall on Sunday 18 November as part of the venue's Sunday Classics series. He will be joined by co-narrator, the BAFTA Award nominee and much-loved English actress Juliet Stevenson. Alongside the narration will be specially composed music performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and live drawing by acclaimed artist Rae Smith. Vocal soloist Ben Murray will also join, following his own appearance in the National Theatre's production of War Horse.

wild Up / of Ascension Celebrates the Legendary Album by Jazz Great John Coltrane

LA-based music collective, wild Up, returns to the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts with of Ascension, the first Jazz Club performances for the 2018/19 season on November 8 & 10, 2018.  of Ascension, co-commissioned by The Soraya, is a musical journey inspired by John Coltrane's legendary 1966 album, Ascension. 

Wendi Parson Named Chief External Affairs Officer of the Museum of Arts and Design

The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) today announced the appointment of Wendi Parson as its Chief External Affairs Officer, effective October 22, 2018. In this executive leadership position, Parson will spearhead marketing and communications, media and public relations, digital and social, branding and design, and visitor experience for the Museum.

New Jersey State Arts Council Names New Executive Director

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts has named Allison Tratner as the new Executive Director. The final vote confirming Ms. Tratner as the Executive Director was made yesterday during the Council's public meeting at Perkins Center for the Arts in Collingswood.   The news was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from attendees, which included members of the public, artists, and leaders in the field of arts and culture.

Toni Braxton Takes Her AS LONG AS I LIVE On The Road

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra Announces $2.3 Million Surplus

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) held its Annual General Meeting today, announcing that the TSO ended the 2018 fiscal year with a surplus of $2.3 million. Board Chair Catherine Beck and Chief Executive Officer Matthew Loden outlined a series of initiatives over the past year that have focused the institution's forward momentum, bringing new financial stability and artistic vitality to the TSO. With the recent appointment of Gustavo Gimeno as its new Music Director starting in the 2020/21 season, and with today's announcement of the revenue surplus, the TSO has strengthened its position and is on track to complete multi-year strategic initiatives and continue delivering dynamic musical programs across Toronto.
