HURLYBURLEY to Play New City Stage Company, 2/28-3/24

New City Stage Company has announced the third show of its 2012-13 season, the Philadelphia professional premiere of Hurlyburly by David Rabe, staged by Barrymore Award-winning director James J. Christy.

Talawa Theatre Company Announces GOD'S PROPERTY Cast

Talawa Theatre Company's Artistic Director Michael Buffong has announced full casting for his production of God's Property, by award winning playwright and actor Arinze Kene. Kingsley Ben-Adir (The Riots, Tricycle Theatre) and Ash Hunter (A Clockwork Orange, Theatre Royal Stratford East) will play the two estranged mixed race brothers Chima and Onochie, who both inhabit the restless streets of Deptford in the early 1980s. They are joined by Ria Zmitrowicz (Chapel Street, The Bush Theatre) as Holly and Bradley Gardner (Saved, Lyric Hammersmith) as Liam. God's Property will preview in Deptford at the Albany from 20 February before its premiere at Soho Theatre from 26 February and then tours to mac in Birmingham from 26 March.

A.C.T. to Premiere DEAD METAPHOR, 2/28-3/24

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) welcomes the new year with the world premiere ofDead Metaphor -George F. Walker's dark comedy that satirizes the hypocrisies and politics of postwar living. When Dean returns home from the war in the Middle East and hits the job market, he discovers that his superior military skills don't get him very far in the business world.

MIAMI NICE: A GOLDEN GIRLS MUSICAL Extends at Gorilla Tango Through 1/26

Miami, 1986. Divorced and over 60, substitute teacher Dorothy Zbornak is spending another lonely Friday night playing Scrabble with her mother, Sophia. With the help of her roommates, the slutty Blanche Devereaux and the phenomenally stupid Rose Nylund, she is determined to land herself a man, or at the very least, a date. But with the revelation that Rose's idiot exterior is actually a cover for a cocaine distribution mastermind, the ladies are suddenly plunged into a blood-soaked world of drugs, guns, and cheesecake.

Crime Drama RIPPER STREET to Premiere Jan. 19 on BBC America

In the aftermath of Jack the Ripper's reign of terror, London's Whitechapel sits on a precipice, and H Division - the precinct charged with keeping order - must work diligently to police the toughest district in the East End. Welcome to Ripper Street, where fear lurks that each new murder could mark the return of The Ripper. As imitators emerge and feral gangs terrorize, Inspector Edmund Reid - one of the lead detectives on the Ripper case - and his teamare further drawn into the criminal underbelly of Victorian London. And their vigilance must be swift to stop those that threaten the calm of the city. Starring Matthew Macfadyen (Anna Karenina, Pride and Prejudice), Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones), Adam Rothenberg (Alcatraz) and MyAnna Buring (Downton Abbey, The Twilight Saga) and loosely based on real characters and events, the eight-part BBC AMERICA co-production created by Richard Warlow, premieres Saturday, January 19, 9:00pm ET.

The Fountain Theatre Extends IN THE RED AND BROWN WATER Through 2/24

The Fountain Theatre has extended the Los Angeles premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's lusciously theatrical and boldly original In the Red and Brown Water through the end of February, in honor of Black History Month. Performances will continue through December 16 as previously scheduled, then resume on January 5 for an additional eight weeks through February 24.
