A.C.T. and Berkeley Repertory Theatre will present two one-day festivals, including excerpts from Every 28 Hours and performances by local artists, on October 18 and 19, 2016. Faultline Theater-in collaboration with A.C.T., Campo Santo, Crowded Fire Theater, and Lorraine Hansberry Theatre-will produce a full production of Every 28 Hours October 21-November 12, 2016. All performances are free and open to the public. Each event will be followed by discussions led by local activists and artists.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Young Conservatory Director Craig Slaight announced today the shows that will comprise the summer Young Conservatory (YC) Festival. Productions include the world premiere of Top of the Pyramid, a collaboration among A.C.T.'s Young Conservatory, A.C.T.'s Education & Community Programs, and Oakland's Destiny Arts Center, and Fields of Gold: The Music of Sting, a celebration of the music of singer-songwriter Sting. Top of the Pyramid will perform July 26-30, 2016, in The Rueff at A.C.T.'s Strand Theater (1127 Market Street, San Francisco) and August 5-7, 2016 at Destiny Arts Center (970 Grace Ave, Oakland). Fly.: The Bayview Stories Project, taking place during a two-day Bayview Festival (June 18-19, 2016) in San Francisco's Bayview-Hunters Point district. Commissioned by A.C.T. from Los Angeles-based playwright Aleshea Harris, Crack. Rumble. Fly.: The Bayview Stories Project is inspired by Sophocles' Oedipus the King and interweaves the lives and experiences of African Americans living in Bayview-Hunters Point, bringing to theatrical life the stories, questions, and connections shared during story circle workshops held in various neighborhood sites.
