by BWW News Desk
- Feb 2, 2009
Nearly four years have past since Tyler Phillips' work first appeared on a New York stage. His two-act musical, FAIREST OF THEM ALL, was read at the York Theatre in 2005. The young composer/lyricist is now living in NYC and ready to present his first, local cabaret event.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? is an evening of songs from Tyler's produced and un-produced shows. His personal musical journey has taken him from the blues rock of his native Texas, through the compositions of Ellington, Mingus, Monk and Zappa, to a fateful evening in an orchestra pit playing for a Rodgers and Hart classic. It will all be there on stage presented with the help of some of New York's best young talent. The evening is a benefit in support of one of America's historic working theaters, the Proctor's Theater in Schenectady, NY .
