The Recording Academy has expanded its lineup for the 'GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®,' an awards ceremony and live tribute concert celebrating the 2018 Special Merit Awards honorees on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Added to the lineup are four-time GRAMMY® winner Yolanda Adams, who will perform and honor Tony Agnello and Richard Factor, GRAMMY winner Gustavo Dudamel who will present to John Williams; violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, who will perform in tribute to Williams; and members of The Meters, including Joseph '?Zigaboo' Modeliste, Cyril Neville, Leo Nocentelli, and George Porter Jr. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Louis Jordan, The Meters, Queen, and Tina Turner. Additional Special Merit Awards honorees to be celebrated include Bill Graham, Seymour Stein, and Williams, who are this year's Trustees Award honorees, and Agnello and Factor, who are the Technical GRAMMY® Award recipients. The Country Music Association's critically acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance at Joe's Bar on Weed Street in Chicago Tuesday, July 24 at 8:00 PM featuring Illinois native Brett Eldredge as well as Ross Copperman, Tom Douglas and Jordan Reynolds. Named for their cranky old guitars, Los Angeles-based duo Roscoe & Etta – singer/songwriters Maia Sharp and Anna Schulze – will release their self-titled debut September 7. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Louis Jordan, the Meters, Queen, and Tina Turner. Additional Special Merit Awards honorees to be celebrated include Bill Graham, Seymour Stein, and John Williams, who are this year's Trustees Award honorees, and Tony Agnello and Richard Factor, who are the Technical GRAMMY Award recipients. Also being honored is Melissa Salguero, this year's recipient of the Music Educator Award. Led by GRAMMY®-nominated industry icon Greg Phillinganes as musical director, the tribute concert will feature rare performances by honorees and never-seen renditions by those they've inspired. CMA Fest has announced more than 100 additional performances throughout Downtown Nashville Thursday through Sunday, June 7-10. Xfinity Fan Fair X is back and more exciting than ever featuring three stages packed with artist performances, panels and meet and greets, in addition to music and lifestyle exhibits, prize giveaways and the Marketplace taking place daily from 9:30 AM-5:00 PM inside Music City Center. The HGTV Lodge returns for a seventh year, hosting performances with Country Music favorites and appearances from HGTV stars. Newly added to the Nissan Stadium stage, Jake Owen will perform on Friday night and Cole Swindell will perform on Sunday night. 

Nashville singer/songwriter Gretchen Peters has released her new album Dancing With The Beast. A collection of songs which give voice to powerful stories of personal struggle, loss, doubt and redemption, the record has already generated acclaim from publications such as Rolling Stone Country, Taste of Country, Digital Journal, and more. 'I admire characters that are heroic in a very quiet, kind of stoic way,' says Peters. 'They don't do overtly heroic things, but just the act of persisting in a life for a long time to me is very heroic and very human... They're persisting and in their persistence there's a heroism that may be quiet and easily overlooked. I find it really inspiring.'

After being invited by a friend to hear Sarah Patrick perform, Frizzell soon signed the young singer/songwriter to his label. BottleRock Napa Valley, presented by JaM Cellars, has announced that GRAMMY award-winning musician, television host, and three-time New York Times bestselling cookbook author Trisha Yearwood, Food Network star Chef Giada De Laurentiis and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will headline the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage, during the three-day festival, May 25-27, 2018, in historic downtown Napa.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will host a book signing for the launch of Tony Brown's Elvis, Strait, to Jesus: An Iconic Producer's Journey with Legends of Rock 'N' Roll, Country & Gospel Music (Center Street, May 1, 2018) on Thursday, May 3rd at 1:00PM in the museum's 5th Avenue lobby.

The composer who had three shows running simultaneously on Broadway was on stage at The Broadway at Birdland concert series last night and of course Broadwayworld was also there for the special evening.

Songwriters Edwin McCain and Maia Sharp return to the Peace Center for An Evening of Original Music, and they'll be joined by Kim Richey. The intimate, listening-room style concert will be held in Genevieve's theater lounge, located adjacent to the Peace Concert Hall, on Friday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m.

The Country Music Association hosted a press conference in the famed Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum Rotunda earlier today to announce the 2018 class of Country Music Hall of Fame inductees. Ricky Skaggs and the families of Johnny Gimble and Dottie West were on hand to accept the honor.
