Brianna Thomas to Perform At The Greenwich House Music School Benefit

This evening's performance is a benefit concert to support Greenwich House Music School. As a community music school, GHMS serves the musical needs of students of all ages in addition to hosting a wide spectrum of concerts, readings, education workshops and meetings for local civic and cultural organizations, as well as providing affordable rehearsal and performance space for local musicians. The School offers $50,000 in arts education scholarships and public school outreach each year, adhering to its 113 year commitment to arts education.

BWW Review: THE BAKELITE MASTERPIECE: Truth or Consequences

THE BAKELITE MASTERPIECE is the Boston area premiere of Kate Cayley's two-hander, directed by Jim Petosa, with stellar performances by Benjamin Evett and Laura Latreille. Edward Gardner To Make NY Philharmonic Debut With Artist-in-Residence Leif Ove Andsnes

Edward Gardner will make his New York Philharmonic debut conducting Debussy's Fantaisie for Piano and Orchestra, featuring The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Leif Ove Andsnes in his final appearances with the Orchestra in that role. The program will also include Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra and Sibelius's Pohjola's Daughter. The performances will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 28 at 8:00 p.m.; they will perform the same program at Long Island University's Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, April 27 at 8:00 p.m.

Acclaimed Director Ava DuVernay To Direct THE NEW GODS For Warner Brothers & DC

As reported in Deadline, visionary director Ava DuVernay is set to direct the upcoming screen adaptation of THE NEW GODS,  from DC and Warner Brothers. The comic book based story, from creator Jack Kirby, will get the film treatment with a script from Kario Salem.
