Alan Gilbert, whose tenure as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic has just been extended through the 2016-17 season, heads across Lincoln Center Plaza this month to lead three fully-staged performances of Mozart's Cosi fan tutte at the Juilliard School (Nov 14, 17, & 19), where he serves as Director of Conducting and Orchestral Studies.

James Braly's LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION has been announced as one of the closing night shows of the upcoming New York Comedy Festival. The critically acclaimed one-man show, written and performed by This American Life contributor James Braly, returns to New York City from its national tour for the first time since its sold-out Off-Broadway run. The special performance tonight, November 11, 2012 at Stage 72 (formerly the Triad Theatre) will be followed by a talk-back with producer Meredith Vieira.

Comedy fans will be treated to an evening filled with some of Hollywood's biggest comedic superstars appearing and performing at Spike TV's 'Eddie Murphy: One Night Only,' the first-ever televised tribute to the comedy legend. Joining the all-star talent roster, which features many of Murphy's peers and co-stars, includes Jamie Foxx, Adam Sandler, Tyler Perry, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Nick Nolte. In addition, The Roots will perform throughout the evening as the show's house band. 'Eddie Murphy: One Night Only' will tape on Saturday, November 3 at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles and will air on Wednesday, November 14.

Multi award-winning comedian, Paul Mecurio, and monthly favorite act, Dueling Pianos, will welcome in 2013 at Comix At Foxwoods with an evening of dancing, drinking and fun, lasting until 3 a.m. The New Year's Eve festivities will begin at 9 p.m., when Mecurio, will showcase his hilarious routine on the Comix stage, followed by Dueling Pianos, who will hit the stage at 10:30 p.m. New Year's Eve party favors, a champagne toast and a post-midnight dessert buffet will follow the two exceptional comedy performances. 2013 Comix Countdown tickets can be purchased in advance for $50 (general admission) or $125 (VIP admission).
