SOUND OFF: LES MISERABLES Movie Trailer - One Dream More

The moment Broadway babies have been waiting for has at long, long last finally arrived - the LES MIZ movie trailer just hit the internet in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. As many suspected - and as the leaked, low-quality work print teaser indicated a few weeks back - the song selection showcased was, indeed, Anne Hathaway's impassioned and plaintive "I Dreamed A Dream", and, just as suspected, the trailer absolutely delivered in giving us the decadence, drama, epic imagery and all-consuming emotion we expected.

THE DOYLE & DEBBIE SHOW to Close This Weekend Chicago

lonesome road productions, in association with Jim Jensen and Lisselan Productions, announce the final week of Chicago performances for the critically-acclaimed hit, the Doyle & Debbie show, created by Bruce Arntson, and starring Bruce Arntson, Jenny Littleton and Matt Carlton. The show, playing at The Royal George Cabaret, will close May 27, 2012.

Miley Cyrus' THE LAST SONG to Premiere on ABC Family, 6/2

ABC Family will air the basic cable premiere of Touchstone Pictures' THE LAST SONG, starring Miley Cyrus ('Hannah Montana'), Liam Hemsworth ('The Hunger Games') and Greg Kinnear ('As Good As It Gets') on Sunday, June 3rd at 7pm ET/PT. The film is part of the Nicholas Sparks Marathon that includes 'A Walk to Remember' at 1:30pm and 'The Notebook' at 4:00pm ET/PT.

9 US Premieres Plus URBAN Set for New Victory Theatre 2012-13 Season

The New Victory Theater will launch its 2012-13 season with the U.S. premiere of URBAN by Circolombia, an edgy, thrilling and inspiring circus featuring young Colombian performers who share their real-life stories through acrobatics, aerial work and tremendous feats of strength. URBAN, which was originally commissioned by Roundhouse London as part of CircusFest 2010, will run from October 12 through October 21.

Touchstone Theatre’s Young Playwrights’ Festival Kicks Off Today, 5/19

Today, May 19, 2012, Touchstone Theatre will present the seventh annual Young Playwrights' Festival, a showcase of original one-act plays written by students ages 8-15 and brought to life by the Touchstone Ensemble, invited guest directors, and professional and community actors from across the Lehigh Valley. The Young Playwrights' Festival will take place in Zoellner Arts Center's Baker Hall at 7pm, followed by the Gala Dessert Reception & Live/Silent Auction Fundraiser.

The Public Theater yesterday announced complete casting today for AS YOU LIKE IT, the first show of the 50th Anniversary season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, AS YOU LIKE IT will begin previews on Tuesday, June 5 and continue for four weeks through Saturday, June 30, with an official press opening on Thursday, June 21. American Players Theatre (APT) announces its 2012 Season, which will run June 9 to October 21, 2012. The season will be especially exciting to Shakespeare lovers, with the return of three Shakespeare productions in APT's 1148-seat outdoor amphitheater Up the Hill, as well as Vern Thiessen's Shakespeare's Will, about William Shakespeare's enigmatic wife Anne Hathaway, in APT's 200-seat indoor Touchstone Theatre. Additionally, APT will present a new Shakespearience festival, featuring preeminent Shakespeare scholars and special events from August 24-26, 2012.
