Whose Wives Are They Anyway? comes to the Farmington Players stage. The show runs February 17 through March 3 at the Barn Theatre in Farmington Hills.

Transport Group,'s 2011 Gimme A Break! benefit honored playwright Douglas Carter Beane and composer/lyricist Lewis Flinn last night, December 5 at the Asia Society and Museum. Gimme A Break! began with a cocktail reception followed by a performance featuring Broadway stars sharing their 'big break' experiences through stories and songs. Playwright Douglas Carter Beane, represented on Broadway currently by both SISTER ACT and LYSISTRATA JONES tells the Associated Press today about his upcoming projects, and noted that 'In the pipeline for the next Broadway season is a play - 'The Nance' with Nathan Lane - and another, still hush-hush musical.'

This fresh approach to A CHRISTMAS CAROL, finds Dickens himself hosting a Christmas Eve party in 1843 for friends and family. They ask him to tell a story, but he refuses to work. So, if they are to be entertained they will have to improvise their own tale.

The Farmington Players are set to present the classic American drama To Kill a Mockingbird. Set in Alabama during the Great Depression, To Kill a Mockingbird follows the journey of Scout and Jem Finch, whose father has been appointed to defend Tom Robinson, a black man framed for a crime he didn't commit.

After a successful two-week West Coast tour, Emily's Army have announced four East Coast live dates in August in support of their full-length debut Don't Be A Dick, which was released by Adeline Records on June 14th.

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that the Off-Broadway hit musical LYSISTRATA JONES, which closes on Friday at the Judson Memorial Church is hoping to move to Broadway (with a search led by General Manager Alan Wasser) in the fall with a budget between $6-7 million at a small house, ideally the Broadhurst or the Walter Kerr.

Producers Whoopi Goldberg and Stage Entertainment have announced that Tony and Olivier award nominee Douglas Carter Beane will provide additional book material to the upcoming musical SISTER ACT, working alongside Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning book-writers Cheri and Bill Steinkellner.
