The Mark Hodgson & Chris Lee Blues Band Perform August 1 Live at the Athens

McClanahan, Shores and More Featured At GAYFEST NYC New Play Festival 6/4-6

The third annual GAYFEST NYC, the country's premier festival of new gay-themed plays, will be presented June 3-6, 2009 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 West 36th Street, New York City. The not-for-profit GAYFEST NYC, Inc. develops new LGBT works for world stages and film and television production and provides in-school elective programs and scholarships for students of Harvey Milk High School. Since June 2007, GAYFEST NYC has presented seventeen scholarships to graduating seniors.

'Dancers Over 40' Pays Tribue To Chamption 3/31

Dancers Over 40 members have worked with many choreographers, but almost none as often as the award-winning Director/Choreographer Gower Champion. On Monday, March 31st at 7:30 pm, some of the dancers and the creative talents associated with Mr. Champion, from 1951's 'Make a Wish' to his last Broadway show the smash hit musical '42nd Street' in 1980, will be represented on the stage of the St. Luke's Theater at 308 West 46th Street.

On March 31, the dancers and the creative talents associated with Director/Choreographer Gower Champion will be represented on the stage of the St. Luke's Theater at 308 West 46th Street at 7:30PM - represented from 1951's Make a Wish to his last Broadway show and the smash 42nd Street in 1980.

'A Chorus Line' Original Cast Members Amend Terms of 1976 Agreement

The beneficiaries of the Estate of Michael Bennett and the artists from the original interviews and workshops of A Chorus Line jointly announced today that they have amended the terms of their agreement signed in 1976. The artists will now have a financial interest in the current Broadway production as well as all future First Class productions. The financial arrangement applies to the original interviewees of the taped sessions that Mr. Bennett held in the spring of 1974 and the actors who participated in the workshops prior to the original Off-Broadway production.

McKechnie and Ruffelle to Star in Toronto's 'Over Here!'?

The 1974 Broadway musical comedy 'Over Here!' is currently scheduled to open at Toronto's Elgin Theatre late this June for a summer-long run before a potential London-transfer where it may open next year. Possibly starring Donna McKechnie and Frances Ruffelle.
