Chris Botti to Perform at The Granada Theatre Next Month

The Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts (SBCPA) has announced America's biggest selling instrumental artist, Chris Botti, will perform at The Granada Theatre today, September 10, 2016 at 8:00 pm, as part of the 2016 - 2017 Granada Theatre Concert Series.

On Stage at Kingsborough Announces 2016 Fall Performing Arts Season

On Stage at Kingsborough, a premier performing arts presenter located at Brooklyn's Kingsborough Community College is pleased to announce its 2016 Fall season, featuring world class artists from around the globe. On Stage at Kingsborough aims to bring top notch performing arts to Southern Brooklyn with an eclectic roster of artists spanning multiple genres including music, dance, theatre and family programming. The full season runs through May 20.

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts Announces Addition of Acclaimed Storyteller Nicholas Sparks and Tony Bennett

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) announced two big additions to its 2016-2017 lineup. In partnership with Copperfield's Books, on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 7 p.m., Sonoma County welcomes one of the most beloved storytellers of all time, acclaimed novelist Nicholas Sparks. The celebrated storyteller makes a stop at The Center on tour with his new work "Two by Two.' On Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 8 p.m., the preeminent singer of the 20th and 21st centuries, Tony Bennett, returns to Santa Rosa for one night only on the heels of celebrating his 90th birthday on August 3, 2016.

MAC Award-Winner Kathleen France Celebrates Italian-American Singers in New Show LA BELLA VITA at Iridium, 10/4 at 8 pm

ScoBar Entertainment and The Iridium announced that Kathleen France--two-time Emmy Award Nominee and 2015 MAC Award Winner (for 'Best Cabaret Revue' with Dawn Derow)--will present her new show, LA BELLA VITA, for one-night-only on October 4 at 8 pm. Directed by MAC Award-winning vocalist and MAC Award-nominated director Tanya Moberly, France's show is a tribute to Italian-American singers and what she calls 'a celebration of what they've contributed to help us all live the good life.' From Frank Sinatra to Dean Martin, from Tony Bennett to Bobby Darin, from Madonna to Lady Gaga, and more, France will sing tunes they made famous, backed by Musical Director Ian Herman on piano and an eight-piece band (led by Sean Harkness on guitar, Tom Hubbard on bass, and Dave Silliman on drums) playing everything from big band jazz, to doo-wop, to classic standards, to movie themes.

Free Block Party at Louis Armstrong House Museum, Thursday, August 25th

The Louis Armstrong House Museum's annual Jazzmobile Block Party on Thursday, August 25, 2016 features the Steve Kroon Sextet. Jazzmobile block party is the grand finale to the museum's Summer with Satchmo season.  It's a free, family-friendly event featuring art-making workshops sponsored by the Queens Museum and hula hoop fun beginning at 4:00 pm.  At 5:30 pm, Fulanito, the Latin Grammy nominated Merengue band will perform and warm up the crowd.  Downbeat for Steve Kroon and the Latin Jazz Sextet is at 7:00 pm.   The museum will be open late until 8:30 pm.

A uniquely talented and gifted jazz pianist, jazz critic and writer George Simon called John Bunch, "The Fred Astaire of the piano". This performance celebrates the life and career of John Bunch from his days growing up in the small farming community of Tipton Indiana, his heroic service during World War II to his days of accompanying a who's who list of artists including Tony Bennett and Benny Goodman.
