MAC Award-Winner Kathleen France Celebrates Italian-American Singers in New Show LA BELLA VITA at Iridium, 10/4 at 8 pm

By:

ScoBar Entertainment and The Iridium announced that Kathleen France--two-time Emmy Award Nominee and 2015 MAC Award Winner (for "Best Cabaret Revue" with Dawn Derow)--will present her new show, LA BELLA VITA, for one-night-only on October 4 at 8 pm. Directed by MAC Award-winning vocalist and MAC Award-nominated director Tanya Moberly, France's show is a tribute to Italian-American singers and what she calls "a celebration of what they've contributed to help us all live the good life." From Frank Sinatra to Dean Martin, from Tony Bennett to Bobby Darin, from Madonna to Lady Gaga, and more, France will sing tunes they made famous, backed by Musical Director Ian Herman on piano and an eight-piece band (led by Sean Harkness on guitar, Tom Hubbard on bass, and Dave Silliman on drums) playing everything from big band jazz, to doo-wop, to classic standards, to movie themes.

Tickets for Kathleen France's LA BELLA VITA are $30 ($15 food and drink minimum) and reservations can be made here. The Iridium is located at 1650 Broadway, between 50th and 51st street.

Here's how Cabaret Scenes Magazine has raved about Kathleen France:

"Bubbly Kathleen is an exclamation point of delightful, infectious joy . . . she's a sunny, funny, cute-as-a-bunny personality who lights up the room. This is someone who knows how to play to--and connect with--an audience, with her twinkling eyes looking right at theirs. She has great timing and provides a great time."

Kathleen France is a two-time Emmy Award Nominee as a voiceover artist (in 2006 & 2007 for NYC-TV's popular television show BLUEPRINT NYC, an historical documentary series highlighting various New York City landmarks). She is currently the "new voice" promoting Lincoln Center. France's debut cabaret show The Book Of Love was nominated for a 2010 MAC Award. Five years later, France shared with her co-star Dawn Derow the 2015 MAC Award for "Best Cabaret Revue" for Revolution, a show highlighting the history of wartime music and a salute to military veterans. A member of the Actor's Equity Association, France has traveled the globe as a singer, actress, and dancer in various theatrical tours and productions. Her performance career includes playing Norma Cassidy in the national tour of Victor/Victoria, Mazeppa in Gypsy, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, and Rizzo in Grease. She has also performed over the years on cruise ships, and for theme parks like Opryland and Walt Disney World.
