Broadway, West End to Dim Lights in Memory of James M. Nederlander

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Chairman of the Nederlander Organization, theatre owner/operator, producer and presenter James M. Nederlander, who passed away on July 25th at age 94. Venues across the West End and on Broadway will be dimming their lights in his honor on Wednesday, August 3, 2016.

Electric Youth Set for Free Summer Concerts in Norfolk and Franklin

Following a three-and-a-half week summer concert tour of Austria and Italy, Electric Youth (EY) will perform two free outdoor concerts today, July 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Norfolk Town Hill and on Wednesday, July 27, at 6 p.m. on Franklin Town Common.

The Motown Sound Lives On With the Houston Symphony

In a one-night-only performance, the Houston Symphony will recreate the legendary sounds of the Motor City with The Men of Motown at 7:30 p.m. July 16 as part of the Bank of America Summer Series at Jones Hall.

Jonathan Poretz to Return to Feinstein's at the Nikko with 'WHEN VEGAS WAS VEGAS'

Following two previous sold-out engagements, Jonathan Poretz returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with his newest show, Sinatra, Dino, Darin & Davis - When Vegas Was VEGAS! for two performances only - Thursday, November 3 (8 p.m.) and Friday, November 4 (8 p.m.) Backed by the six-piece Fil Lorenz Orchestra, Poretz will recreate the heyday of a young Las Vegas, bringing a 60s vibe to the Feinstein's at the Nikko stage.

STAR TREK with the NSO, Tony Bennett and More Coming Up at Wolf Trap This Summer

Some highlights of what's coming up this summer at Wolf Trap include: The Firebird (July 23); Star Trek Into Darkness with the NSO - and a pre-show Trek talk with Adam Nimoy (Leonard's son), Dave Zappone (For the Love of Spock), and Terry Farrell (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) along with several NASA staff (July 30); and the National Park Service Centennial celebration weekend, which features performances by Ricky Martin (August 24+25), Aretha Franklin (August 26), and Bonnie Raitt (Augsut 27). Fairmont Hotel San Francisco to Unveil Tony Bennett Statue, & Other Festivities, 8/19

SAN FRANCISCO (July 11, 2016) - In recognition of internationally renowned singer, painter and civic leader Tony Bennett's contributions to San Francisco, the City will honor him with several tributes celebrating his 90th birthday. The festivities will begin with a free, public dedication and unveiling of the 8-foot-tall bronze statue of Mr. Bennett atop Nob Hill on the lawn of Fairmont San Francisco on Friday, August 19 at noon; festivities start at 11:30 a.m. Friday evening, the World Champion San Francisco Giants will pay tribute to the legend with "Tony Bennett Night" as they take on the New York Mets. The weekend's events culminate on Saturday, August 20 with a benefit dinner and concert in Fairmont San Francisco's famous Venetian Room where he first performed I Left My Heart in San Francisco in public. Proceeds from the evening will support The Tony Bennett Fund for Emergency Pediatric Care at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and the San Francisco Special Events Committee.
