Tonight, June 6th, designer and director Tony Walton will receive The Goodspeed Award for Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre at Goodspeed Musicals' Gala event RAZZLE DAZZLE. Julie Andrews will present Walton with the award at the event.

Theatre East presents Devil and the Deep, a new musical reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, at Theater 3 (311 West 43rd Street, NY 10036). Previews begin tonight, June 6 and the Opening is Thursday, June 11th for the limited engagement.

Before Broadway's biggest night on Sunday, June 7th, 37 productions will have opened on Broadway in the 2014-15 season. Of those productions, 10 were eligible for Best New Musical and 11 were eligible for Best New Play at the 69th Annual Tony Awards. In these new plays and musicals, 213 actors made their Broadway debuts in new shows.

CBS has just announced that Tommy Tune, this year's recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Tony award, will be among the presenters on this year's telecast.

The Tony Awards today announced that more than 175 performers will join Josh Groban on-stage for a special performance - the most performers in a single number in Tony Awards history - at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night for the 69th Annual Tony Awards.
