Fall has arrived but October is heating up with the acts at Blue Note Hawaii. This month includes legendary national artists, some of the biggest local talents around and some great comedy.

The Kentucky Center is offering a wide variety of entertainment as it opens its 34th arts season. Fall performances will feature author and radio personality Garrison Keillor, all-male a cappella group Straight No Chaser, Emmy winner Travis Wall's dance company Shaping Sound as well as many others.

Internationally-acclaimed guitar virtuoso Trace Bundy must be seen to be believed, using harmonics, looping, and multiple capos to confound even the most accomplished music lovers as to how one person can do all that with just two hands and ten fingers. Trace's witty banter and stage presence delivers an unforgettable live concert experience.

Critically-acclaimed country music artist Kellie Picker, legendary jazz musicians Herb Alpert and Lani Hall, Grammy-winner Shawn Colvin, and two Legendary Ladies of Motown, Mary Wilson of The Supremes and Martha Wilson & The Vandellas, are just a few of the artists set to appear at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts at Pepperdine University during its 2017-2018 season.

April offers an eclectic lineup at Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, continuing the series with Blood Sweat & Tears, followed up by local favorite Jake Shimabukuro, the Devon Allman Band, and Roseanne Barr ushering in the new Blue Note Comedy Series April 8th and 9th.

Music by the Sea presents Ambre Hammond on the piano and Ian Cooper on the violin - a vivacious blend of Classical, Gypsy and Jazz music at Sandgate Town Hall on Saturday 1st October, 7:30pm. For Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, June begins with one of the most celebrated singer-songwriters in recent history, Christopher Cross, followed by a Reggae Meets Jazz series with Monty Alexander Harlem Kingston Express, contemporary jazz instrumentalist group Acoustic Alchemy and Grammy Award-winning vocalist Lisa Fischer & Grand Baton. June also brings a host of local talent including Adagio, Willie K, Paula Fuga, Darren Benitez, Hotclub of Hulaville, Rolando Sanchez, Little Albert and Jake Shimabukuro.
