Get ready to get IN THE MOOD! America's Greatest Big Band Musical Revue, IN THE MOOD, returns to the Balboa Theatre on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2PM!

The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra lead by Bill Tole will bring the young and the "young at heart" back in time at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Monday, February 28 at 7 p.m.

Rob Zappulla, backed by his seven-piece band, will perform the timeless hits of Frank Sinatra! Rob's show spans the five decades of classic Sinatra, from the days with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra to the Las Vegas show rooms.

On Sunday, December 12 at 2:30 p.m., join Tony nominee and international concert artist Eleanor Reissa and friends for a delightful afternoon of Yiddish and English music and humor. Reissa, one of the world's most important interpreters of Yiddish song, will perform in her only New York City appearance this year at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. Her band of musical luminaries is led by Frank London of the Klezmatics and features Marty Confurius on the upright bass; Rex Benincasa on percussion and drums; slide trombone player Brian Drye; and pianist and accordion player Patrick Farrell.

The American Jazz Repertory Orchestra with Guest Soloist Claire Daly and the Berkshires Jazz Youth Orchestra will be coming to the Colonial Theatre on October 16 at 8PM. When the opening chords of a familiar Beatles tune drifts out of the doors of the Fabulous Fox Theatre on September 17th, passers by might just think they stepped back in time 40+ years to Liverpool, England. And if they come see RAIN - A Tribute to the Beatles presented by Theater of the Stars September 17 - 19 they might just succeed in that time travel. RAIN - A Tribute to the Beatles, a show that has been called "the next best thing to seeing The Beatles," boasts a repertoire of Beatles favorites, ranging from such beloved songs as "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "Hey Jude" to classic hits including "Revolution" and "Come Together." Playing all those familiar songs, in the guise of George Harrison is Joe Bithorn who will be a part of the show when it returns to Atlanta. I caught up with Joe to learn a little more about his journey.
