Manhattan Theatre Club is pleased to announce that Remy Auberjonois (Death of a Salesman, Equivocation at MTC) will join the cast of THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) starting Tuesday, July 9.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of THE EXPLORERS CLUB, the new play by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin, directed by Marc Bruni, opens tonight, Thursday, June 20 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). The production began previews on May 28.

Beginning June 28, ANNIE will play an additional matinee on Friday afternoons on Broadway at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at 47th Street) - rather than an evening show on Wednesday, it was announced today.

THE EXPLORERS CLUB is now in previews at Manhattan Theatre Club with an official press opening set for Thursday, June 20 featuring Brian Avers (Rock 'n' Roll), Max Baker (Cyrano DeBergerac), Steven Boyer (Gentlemen Prefer Blondes), Arnie Burton (Peter and the Starcatcher), Carson Elrod (All in the Timing), David Furr (The Importance of Being Earnest), Tony Award nominee John McMartin (Into The Woods), Drama Desk Award winner Lorenzo Pisoni (Humor Abuse at MTC), and Tony Award nominee Jennifer Westfeldt (Friends With Kids, Wonderful Town). Manhattan Theatre Club has just announced a third and final extension for THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES, the new play by Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg, directed by MTC's award-winning artistic director Lynne Meadow. Tickets for this critically acclaimed engagement will be on sale through Sunday, July 28 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) starting today at noon.

THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES star Judith Light, who yesterday won her second consecutive Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play, will be featured on tomorrow's edition of 'Live with Kelly & Michael.' The producers of A Christmas Story, The Musical, have announced that the three-time Tony nominated production will return for the holiday season with engagements at the The Bushnell in Hartford, CT (November 12-17) and The Wang Theatre in Boston, MA (November 20 - December 8) before returning to New Yorkat The Theater at Madison Square Garden (December 11 – 29). Tickets are now on sale for the New York engagement. Single tickets for the general public go on sale for the Boston engagement June 16, and for the Hartford engagement on September 9.

Most people expected after last night's Tony Awards that A CHRISTMAS STORY would be headed back to Broadway, but it turns out that they had a slightly different plan in mind.

ANNIE, nominated for a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, will launch a US National Tour in the 2014-2015 season. The national tour will be produced by Troika Entertainment. The new production of the classic Tony Award-winning musical, opened to critical acclaim on November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street).

Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch, who stars in the hit FOX television show "Glee" as ruthless cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester and who recently made her Broadway debut as tyrannical orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in ANNIE, will be a guest on NBC's "Today" tomorrow, Tuesday, June 4, in the 10:00 AM hour. On Friday, May 31, Tony nominated writer Nell Benjamin and legendary deep-sea explorer Sylvia Earle - one of the first women admitted to the real Explorers Club in New York - will engage in a conversation to talk about their experiences in their respective fields, following the 8 PM performance of Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere production of THE EXPLORERS CLUB, a madcap comedy now in previews at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). The conversation will be moderated by Peabody Award-winning journalist and author Lynn Sherr.

Company members from A Christmas Story, The Musical will reunite for their appearance on the Tony Awards telecast on CBS.
