Full casting is today announced for Rupert Goold's The Merchant of Venice at the Almeida Theatre. Former Almeida Artistic Director Ian McDiarmid will play Shylock alongside Susannah Fielding and Scott Handy, who reprise their roles as Portia and Antonio. The company includes Vinta Morgan, Vincenzo Nicoli, Finlay Robertson, Raphael Sowole, Tim Steed, Jonathan Tafler, Anthony Welsh, Tom Weston-Jones and original RSC cast members Jamie Beamish, Rebecca Brewer, Caroline Martin and Emily Plumtree.

Casting is announced today for Hope, BAFTA-winning writer Jack Thorne's first original play to be staged at the Royal Court. Hope follows Thorne's success with Glue and This is England '86 and reunites him with director John Tiffany after their celebrated production Let the Right One In, which transferred to the West End earlier this year.

Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) and the Royal Court Theatre, by special arrangement with Ambassador Theatre Group and the Dodgers, just announced that two-time Olivier Award winner Ruth Wilson (BBC's and PBS' Emmy nominated "Luther," Showtime's "The Affair") will star opposite previously announced Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal in the American premiere of Constellations, the acclaimed new play by Nick Payne, directed by Michael Longhurst.

Jamie Lloyd Productions' Trafalgar Transformed production of East is East, running from this Saturday 4 October at Trafalgar Studios, will release its initial batch of £15 Monday tickets on Wednesday 1 October from 10.00am. Due to overwhelming demand, the producers of Mike Bartlett's critically acclaimed new play, King Charles III have announced that the show's run will extend by 9 weeks, and will now play at the Wyndham's Theatre until 31 January 2015. Tickets for the extension go on sale today.

King Charles III is the latest production to transfer from the Almeida to the West End. Set after the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, it focuses on the weeks between the former monarch's death and the new monarch's official crowning at their coronation ceremony. The production raises questions that have been raised repeatedly including the powers of the monarch and whether or not they're relevant anymore.
