On the day of the Bard's 450th birthday, The Guerrilla Shakespeare Project announces AND TO THE REPUBLIC, a modern political thriller created and inspired by reconstructing Shakespeare's famous Roman plays - Julius Caesar, Antony & Cleopatra, and Coriolanus – like never seen before.
The Guerrilla Shakespeare Project (GSP) - under the direction of Executive Director, Tom Schwans and Artistic Director, Jordan Reeves - will present the world premiere of THE TRAGEDY OF KING ARTHUR BY W. SHAKESPEARE a play by Arthur Phillips, adapted from his critically acclaimed book 'The Tragedy of Arthur.' Preview performances of THE TRAGEDY OF ARTHUR will begin tonight, March 22 prior to an official press opening of March 24 at TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor) in Manhattan. Theatre Fairfield, Fairfield University's resident production company, will host a free roundtable discussion, "Enemies of the People? Politicians/Environmentalists/Taxpayers," tonight, October 15 at 7 p.m. at the Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road, Fairfield. The conversation will focus on the conflicting forces of political expediency, protecting our environment, and taxpayers' wallets. This discussion, which will include several Fairfield residents, is in conjunction with Theatre Fairfield's upcoming production of Henrik Ibsen's play "An Enemy of the People."
