Better Nate Than Ever, the acclaimed debut novel by Tim Federle that was just named an Amazon Best Book of the Month, was released yesterday, February 5 from Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. The hardcover novel (and e-book edition) is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and wherever books are sold. On Tuesday, Tom Schumacher, president of Disney Theatrical Productions, hosted a party to celebrate 'Better Nate Than Ever', the Broadway young readers novel by Broadway dancer Tim Federle. From 5 February 2013, joining the previously announced Gavin Lee who will play Jerry Travers in the West End hit musical Top Hat are Broadway actress Kristen Beth Williams as Dale Tremont, Olivier award nominee Alex Gaumond as Alberto Beddini and Clive Hayward as Horace Hardwick. Vivien Parry continues as Madge Hardwick and Stephen Boswell as Horace's valet Bates.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented Ashley Brown in concert on Monday, November 19 at 7pm. The show - Ashley Brown: Call Me Irresponsible - featured many of Ms. Brown's favorite songs from Broadway and the American Songbook, including selections from her PBS Special, which received a Telly Award. Yaron Gershovsky (Manhattan Transfer) was Music Director, and her special guests were Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins), Brad Haak and Emily Jones Ryan. Check out photos from the concert below!

Gavin Lee Set to Join West End's TOP Hat, Feb 5

From 5 February 2013 Gavin Lee will join the cast of the hit West End production of Top Hat to play Jerry Travers, the role played in the original RKO motion picture by Fred Astaire. Top Hat is currently booking at the Aldwych Theatre until 28 September 2013 having recently released a further 180,000 new tickets for sale. Seventy seven years after its movie release, Matthew White's production arrived in the West End earlier this year having completed a 20 week sell-out UK tour.

Over 350 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm tonight, June 11 at The Pershing Square Signature Center - Irene Diamond Stage (480 West 42nd Street, NYC). This year has been Open Doors' biggest year ever with a total of 23 mentors and 7 guest mentors working with 22 groups of students from New York City high schools.
