One of the most hotly anticipated new musicals from Broadway, 9 to 5, The Musical has come to the Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive in Lincolnshire. The productino, which began performances on August 14, has an opening night of August 21, and will run through October 13. Based on the smash 1980 film, 9 to 5, The Musical is the hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the rolodex era. The musical features the blockbuster title song plus a jubilant Tony Award-nominated score by multi Grammy Award-winner Dolly Parton and a book by original screenwriter Patricia Resnick, The Marriott Theatre production will be directed by 11 time Jeff Award-winner David H. The Bushwick Starr has announced its 2013-14 Season of Programming. The Season begins with its developing work program, the Propeller Project, which this year introduces a new piece by playwright, Kristine Haruna Lee. Main Stage shows feature an exciting line-up of theater artists: the TEAM (Mission Drift, Architecting), David Greenspan (The Myopia), Jennie MaryTai Liu (Soul Leaves Her Body), Daniel Fish and Andrew Dinwiddie (Tom Ryan Thinks He's James Mason Starring in a Movie by Nicholas Ray, Get Mad at Sin!), and William Burke (Furry). The ongoing community events and festivals, Puppets & Poets, Brooklyn Gypsy, and Big Green Theater, will continue to present new collaborative work geared towards our Bushwick neighborhood audience. And finally, the monthly Starr Reading Series will cultivate new plays in development from some of NYC's most exciting young playwrights.

Juilliard's Drama Division announces the 2013-2014 season of fully-staged productions featuring Juilliard's 43rd group of acting students in their fourth and final year in the drama program at Juilliard. This season's plays include Jeffrey Hatcher's Smash, directed by Victor Pappas; Amy Herzog's The Great God Pan, directed by Maria Mileaf; and Sam Shepard's Buried Child, directed by Daniel Fish. All performances take place in the Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater at Juilliard.

Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, will host New York Times best-selling and National Book Award-winning author Jonathan Franzen following the 7PM performance of House for Sale, by Franzen, adapted for the stage and directed by Daniel Fish,on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. The historic Fulton Theatre in downtown Lancaster launches its 2012/2013 season with Gypsy, often held up by critics as the best book musical written in the 20th century. Gypsy is loosely based on the memoirs of vaudeville and burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee, with music by Jule Styne, lyrics Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents. It features some of the best-known and loved musical songs, such as 'Everything's Coming up Roses,' 'Some People,' 'Let Me Entertain You' and 'Rose's Turn.'
