Producer Scott Rudin Prints Ad Calling The New York Times' Patrick Healy 'Infant Provocateur and Amateur Journalist'

THE TESTAMENT OF MARY, the controversial play which closed yesterday following just 16 regular performances, is now igniting a very different kind of controversy: an ad placed for the show on Sunday's New York Times includes a quote, attributed to the show's producer Scott Rudin, which reads: 'Let's give a big cuddly shout-out to Pat Healy, infant provocateur and amateur journalist at The New York Times. Keep it up, Pat - one day perhaps you'll learn something about how Broadway works, and maybe even understand it.'

The Testament of Mary, currently in previews, will begin offering student tickets effective tomorrow, Thursday, March 28 at the Walter Kerr Theatre box office (219 West 48th Street). Subject to availability, a limited number of tickets will go on sale the day of the performance when the box office opens. Students will be able to buy two tickets per valid ID for $35.00 each, and both cash and credit cards will be accepted.

The production will not only mark the New York theatrical debut for the multi-award winning novelist but will also be the first collaboration between Fiona Shaw and Deborah Warner to premiere on this side of the Atlantic.
