It's Official! Tony Award-winner Hugh Jackman will return to the New York stage next month in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, playing October 25 2011 to January 1 2012 at The Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The official opening night has been set for November 10.

The Hollywood Awards, presented by Starz, announced today that the 15th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala ceremony, honoring excellence in motion pictures, both in front of and behind the camera, will take place on Monday, October 24, 2011, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Through the years, the Hollywood Awards Gala has become a bellwether for the Oscars and it has become known as the first event that launches the awards season. 'The New York Times' says that the Hollywood Awards Gala is the first mandatory stop in the awards season. In the last 8 years, a total of 73 Oscar nominations and 27 Oscars were given to the nominees and honorees of the Hollywood Awards.

David Mirvish and Cameron Mackintosh have just announced the Canadian Premiere of Cameron Mackintosh's highly acclaimed new 25th anniversary production of Les Misérables. The all-new production of Les Misérables featuring glorious new staging with spectacular re-imagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo and an all-Canadian cast will play the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. Performances begin July 20, 2012. The search for the cast for the new Canadian production will begin immediately.

Collider.com recently sat down to talk with Hugh Jackman about his upcoming film, 'Real Steel,' and Jackman also shared some information about his upcoming role in Tom Hooper's movie musical 'Les Miserables.' Jackman will play Jean Valjean in film opposite Russell Crowe as Javert. The actor confirmed that filming begins next March and that filming in is being considered.

Deadline.com reports this morning that filming for Woverine 2, the sequel to the successful X Men franchise starring Hugh Jackman, may be pushed back to the spring of 2012 due to location scouting issues. The film had been tentatively scheduled to film in Japan this fall, however weather conditions have made securing locations difficult. The operation may now move to Canada instead.

As reported by BroadwayWorld last week, David Seidler's Oscar winning movie ‘The King's Speech' will be headed on Broadway in the fall of 2012. Seidler wrote the screenplay for ‘The King's Speech' after he wrote it as a play. Now according to CNN.com, Adrian Noble is on board to direct the project.
