On Sunday, January 9 BBC AMERICA's Golden Sunday will feature a marathon of the six-part miniseries Luther - starring Golden Globe nominee, Idris Elba ? before airing a 30 minute documentary, The King's Speech: Behind The Scenes, including never seen before footage from the cast and crew behind the multi-award winning movie, which has seven Golden Globe nominations.

Starz Sells Quarter Equity Stake To Weinstein Company

In a significant strategic partnership within the ever-changing home/digital entertainment market, Starz, LLC has agreed to sell The Weinstein Company (TWC) a 25% stake in Starz Media, LLC, a programming production, home entertainment and international TV distribution company which includes Anchor Bay Entertainment and other TV/home entertainment assets. Separately, Anchor Bay has entered into a multi-year domestic distribution agreement for new theatrical content from TWC and its Dimension Films label.

Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced nominations this morning for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Eva Mendes and Jeremy Renner served as presenters and 2011 Spirit Awards host Joel McHale was also on hand. Nominees for Best Feature include 127 Hours, Black Swan, Greenberg, The Kids Are All Right and Winter's Bone.

RIALTO CHATTER: THE KING'S SPEECH to Come to Broadway?

According to the NY Times, there is a chance that the Colin Firth film, 'The King's Speech' might make an appearance on a Broadway or West End stage, depending on how well the movie does this awards season.

Hugh Dancy To Star in MCC Theatre's THE PRIDE

MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) has announced the trio of English actors who will appear in the American premiere production of Alexi Kaye Campbell's The Pride, directed by Joe Mantello. Hugh Dancy (Adam, Journey's End), Andrea Riseborough (Happy Go Lucky) and Ben Whishaw (Bright Star, Brideshead Revisited) will star in the four person play, with a fourth actor to be announced shortly. The production will mark Ms. Riseborough and Mr. Whishaw's New York stage debuts. Performances begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on January 27 and continue through March 20, 2010. Opening night is set for Tuesday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m.
