Hugh Jackman Receives Zurich Film Festival's 'Golden Icon' Tonight

The Golden Icon Award of this year's Zurich Film Festival goes to Hugh Jackman. The ceremony will take place tonight, September 28th at the cinema corso 1. In addition to receiving ZFF's Golden Icon Award, Jackman will present his latest film, the intense thriller PRISONERS, directed by Denis Villeneuve and co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal, which has been selected to screen in the Gala Premieres section of the Festival. Tickets for the Golden Icon Evening will be available on Septemeber 16, 2013.

The 61st edition of the San Sebastian Festival will present its Donostia Award to one of today's best known film stars, Hugh Jackman. The actor will receive the Award on September 27 prior to the special screening of the latest work in which he plays the lead, Prisoners.

Fox Orders Modern Day LES MISERABLES Pilot with Legal Spin

According to Deadline, the network has given VERONICA MARS creator Rob Thomas the go-ahead to develop a pilot script based upon Victor Hugo's classic novel turned Broadway show. The project comes from Warner Bros TV with a penalty.

Anne Hathaway, Candia Fisher & More Join Public Theater's Board of Trustees

Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Executive Director Patrick Willingham, and Chairman of the Board Warren Spector have announced the addition of seven new members to The Public's Board of Trustees. Candia Fisher, Anne Hathaway, Debby Landesman, Barbara Manocherian, and Audrey Wilf were appointed to the 40-person board in April for three-year terms, and Charlotte Relyea and Anne Clarke Wolff were appointed in June for three-year terms. A recent loss to the Board is the passing of long time Board member Nora Ephron who was honored for her service to the organization and the field at The Public's 2013 Gala this past June.

Cameron Mackintosh to Bring OLIVER! Back to Broadway

Today, Michael Riedel reports that in addition to upcoming productions of MISS SAIGON, BARNUM and a Broadway return of LES MIS that 'As if three shows weren't enough, Mackintosh is also planning a Broadway revival of 'Oliver!' Lionel Bart's chirpy old musical hasn't been seen in New York since a short-lived 1983 production starring Patti LuPone. It's said to be Mackintosh's favorite musical, and it's how he got his start in the theater. 'Oliver!' played the New Theatre in London in 1960, and a teenage Mackintosh got a job polishing the brass railing in the theater lobby.'
