Variety reports that Julianne Moore and Colin Firth are confirmed to star in 'A Single Man,' which will mark former fashion icon Tom Ford's directorial debut. Based on Christopher Isherwood's novel of the same title, the film is set for release later this year by The Weinstein Co for Oscar consideration, with a wide release scheduled for 2010.

In the opening seconds of Theatre at the Center's production of the musical stage version of 'Footloose' now open in Munster, Indiana, the actor in question, Matt Raftery (starring as Ren), executes an impressive aerial move, half hip-hop and half gymnastics.
