George Takei (Broadway-bound Allegiance, Hikaru Sulu on TV's 'Star Trek'), Tony Award winner Linda Lavin (Broadway Bound, The Diary of Anne Frank, Hollywood Arms, TV's 'Alice') and her husband actor Steve Bakunas (Hollywood Arms, My Own Love Song), and Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht (The Assembled Parties, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, TV's 'Friends'), are among those who have attended recent performances of Wiesenthal, the award-winning play now playing at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row through February 22. Following the performance, Hecht, Takei, Lavin and Bakunas all came backstage to visit with Wiesenthal's star and playwright, Tom Dugan.

Wiesenthal, the new play based on the life Simon Wiesenthal, will play its final New York performance on Sunday, February 22. The limited engagement at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row concludes prior to upcoming productions in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Canada in 2015 - 2016.

This weekend, the legendary JERRY STILLER (Hurlyburly, The Ritz, 'Seinfeld,' 'King of Queens') attended a matinee performance of Wiesnethal, the award-winning play written by and starring Tom Dugan. Anne Frank's cousin, Monica Smith, attended the December 14th performance of Wiesenthal. (Now 91 years old and residing in Manhattan, Smith escaped Amsterdam shortly before the Germans arrived.) Attending Sunday's matinee with her daughter Nicole Smith-Brody and granddaughter Sophie Smith-Brody, Smith participated in a special post-show discussion about 'The Anne Frank Connection.'

This week Danny Aiello will talk to Peter LeDonne about his book "I Only Know Who I Am When I Am Somebody Else". It's a memoir in which Danny details his life going from being an announcer of buses on the PA system to becoming an Oscar nominated actor.

Wiesenthal, the new play about the legendary Simon Wiesenthal, will offer two special family matinees on December 7 and 14 at 3PM. These performances will be followed by discussion, 'The Anne Frank Connection,' about Anne Frank and the legacy of humanity and hope that she continues to inspire when teaching the history of the Holocaust to young people around the world. Tom Dugan, the playwright and actor who stars as Simon Wiesenthal will be joined by NYU Professor and Anne Frank Center Advisory Board member, Rolf Wolfswinkel for the discussion.

Immediately following the matinee, special guest Tovah Feldshuh (Golda's Balcony, Irena's Vow) joined Wiesenthal's playwright and star, Tom Dugan, in a conversation and candle lighting ceremony with audience members reflecting on the historic 'Night of Broken Glass."
