The Dizzy Feet Foundation (DFF), co-founded by Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman, is proud to announce that the 8th annual National Dance Day (NDD) will take place on Saturday, July 29 at Grand Park in Los Angeles, co-presented by The Music Center, and in Washington D.C., hosted by the Kennedy Center.   The event continues the ongoing alliance of some of the nation's leading cultural organizations, which once again join together to promote the benefits and joy of dance for everyone.  YouTube Red joins National Dance Day as the 2017 Title Sponsor.

National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Music Director Designate Gianandrea Noseda has been forced to withdraw from upcoming concerts with the NSO as he recovers from surgery.

Over 500 volunteer ushers were honored at the annual Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall Usher Appreciation Party on May 10. The ushers were applauded for their dedication and generosity in volunteering their time; without them the City-owned theater would not be able to operate. All the City Commissioners were in attendance and the then-outgoing Commissioners Atwell and Chapman were acknowledged for their strong support of the Hall over the years.

With a goal of topping last year's record-breaking $5.25 million dollars raised in its ongoing battle against Parkinson's disease, LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST 2017: The Beat Goes On, presented by the Asbury Park Press, the 17th anniversary edition of the anchor event for the world-renowned Light of Day Foundation, will bring over 150 music acts to 30 venues over 10 days in three New Jersey cities, New York City, and Philadelphia, in January, following holiday season tours of Europe and Canada.

 Country Dance*New York (CD*NY) is presenting the Fall Fling Contra Dance tonight, November 21, 2015 with live and lively 21st century contra dance music by The Coffee Zombies. No previous experience is required and it is not necessary to come with a partner. All dances will be taught. The highly regarded caller from Maryland, Janine Smith, walks everyone through the patterns of each dance making contra dancing a delightful pleasure for all.

Michael Flatley's new show Dangerous Games has announced Scottish Dancer Ryan Stevenson will be star in this brand new show coming to the Edinburgh Playhouse on 12-14 May.  The show has exciting and ground-breaking new technology, including holographs, dancing robots, world champion acrobats and the greatest team of Irish Dancers in the world.  A new score composed by Gerard Fahy, new costumes and special effects lighting add a breath-taking new dimension to the original masterpiece.
