Today Sheffield Theatres launches FREE CHEERS FOR SHEFFIELD, an online programme that will celebrate the Theatres' greatest moments, continue its dementia friendly programme and support children and young people with creative activities and educational resources.

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, Robert Hastie, today announces the fourteen artists, including writers, directors and producers, who will be supported by the company for the next 12 months. The artists will find a home in The Bank, a dedicated space for talent development, which opens today.

Follow the adventures of two brothers and the night-time disappearance of a chocolate cake in this scrumptious new musical adaptation by the creators of We're Going on a Bear Hunt and How to Hide a Lion from Michael Rosen's beloved poem Chocolate Cake, which has just been published as a picture book.

Michael Rosen's Chocolate Cake opens the new Spring/Summer season at Polka Theatre. The production opens with previews from 23 March and runs until 13 May. It has been adapted by the theatre's Artistic Director, Peter Glanville and Barb Jungr.
