Les Michaels Sundays In Summer at the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert will present the multitalented impressionist Bethany Owen direct from the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas.

Of all the live concert recordings released by RCA during Elvis Presley's lifetime, none carried the historic significance of his long-awaited New York City shows at Madison Square Garden in June 1972. Now, a pair of hour-long performances have finally been coupled in one package for the first time as PRINCE FROM ANOTHER PLANET: 40th ANNIVERSARY EDITION. This deluxe 2-CD+DVD box set will be available everywhere October 30th through RCA/Legacy, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.

August is just around the corner, so we figured we'd let you know what we had in the works. We start with a CD release party with the Las Cruces-based Hard Road Trio. Their new CD was recorded in and named for Monticello New Mexico, which turns out to be home to some of the finest artisan balsamic vinegar in the country. Who knew? We'll have a special tasting and champagne toast to celebrate their new CD.

FIRE ISLAND DANCE FESTIVAL returned to Fire Island Pines for its 18th awe-inspiring edition, raising a record-breaking $374,260 through three weekend performances. FIRE ISLAND DANCE FESTIVAL 18, the hottest charity event of the season in the Pines, was presented July 20-22 and was produced by and benefitted Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Iconic actress and entertainer Jenifer Lewis has the distinction of scoring an unprecedented string of sold-out shows at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Renberg Theatre with her brilliant performances in Getting It Off My Chest; BiPolar, Bath & Beyond; and Hot Flash! Now, the celebrated diva returns to the Renberg stage with An Intimate Evening With Jenifer Lewis. The special, two-night-only run will take place tonight, July 13 & July 14 at 8 p.m.

Acclaimed Fort Collins, CO-based pop-folk group SHEL will release their debut album on Moraine Records/Mad King August 7. Bill Kenwright and John Miller present a strictly limited West End season of SOUL SISTER, the new musical inspired by the music, life and times of Ike and Tina Turner, which previously played Hackney Empire.
