During September and October the Brooklyn Museum will present a variety of public programs for adults, including a conversation with artist Sanford Biggers, award-winning chef Marcus Samuelsson, and hip-hop artist Mos Def; a taping of the television program Cooking with GalleryBeat; a performance by acclaimed soul-jazz vocalist Somi; and Thursdays @ 7, a series of engaging adult programs that takes place every Thursday evening.

Photographer Martha Swope, recipient of the 2004 Tony Award for Excellence in Theatre, will be honored by The Humane Society of New York on Tuesday, April 27 at a Benefit Photography Auction at the DVF Studio, 440 West 14th Street, from 6-9 pm. Swope will be honored with an exhibit of her work taken while she was official photographer for the New York City Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Broadway. Her images include legends such as Baryshnikov, Jerome Robbins, Balanchine, Suzanne Farrell, and Liza Minnelli.
