Anne Hathaway Set to Take Part in Songs from CABARET Concert to Benefit Public Theater, 10/24

The Public Theater announced today that Public Theater alumna and Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway, who played Viola in the critically acclaimed 2009 Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night, will perform a one-night-only concert, Perfectly Marvelous: The Songs of Cabaret with Anne Hathaway and Friends, on Wednesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at Joe's Pub to celebrate and support The Public Theater's revitalization of its downtown home at Astor Place. Member tickets on sale now. Single tickets go on sale on Tuesday, October 2.

The 60th edition of the San Sebastian Festival will this year bestow its Donostia Awards on actors John Travolta, Ewan McGregor and Tommy Lee Jones and the Special 60th Anniversary Donostia Award going to director Oliver Stone. In 1969, Jones made his Broadway debut in John Osborne's A Patriot for Me. His other Broadway appearances include Four on a Garden and Ulysses in Nighttown.

Kevin Gray, playing The King of Siam, returns to The Muny after previously playing the Engineer in Miss Saigon (2001). Making her Muny debut as Anna Leonowens is Laura Michelle Kelly. The Dark Shadows Weekend 2012 was held this year in Tarrytown, NY on July 28 & 29, 2012. The weekend of events included Dark Shadows Day At Collinwood. This was held on Saturday July 28 at the historic Lyndhurst Estate. This is the site used for the filming of the two Dark Shadows movies based on the original TV series-House of Dark Shadows and Night of Dark Shadows. Both of these movies are to be re-released in the fall on DVD and Blue Ray in conjunction with the release of the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movie of this year's-Dark Shadows.
