Tickets to Zac Brown Band at Comerica Park on Sale This Friday

Don't miss your chance to see Zac Brown Band's debut performance at Comerica Park when tickets go on sale this Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. In support of the their forthcoming album Jekyll + Hyde, the band announced a North American stadium tour that will stop at the Detroit Tigers ballpark on Saturday, September 12 at 7 p.m.

Derek McLane is one of the busiest men on Broadway. Not only did the scenic designer return to create the look of this year's Academy Awards, but he's also been hard at work on Fiasco Theatre's Into the Woods, Atlantic Theatre Company's Posterity, the West End transfer of Beautiful, and two new Broadway musicals- Gigi and Living on Love. The Chrysalis Club Announces Spring 2015 Lineup at Wilton's

Wilton's Music Hall has announced events for March and April at The Chrysalis Club, an eclectic interim arts programme of events, gigs, screenings, classes and performances which will run until September 2015, as the world's last surviving Grand Music Hall in London's East End enters the second phase of vital building works.

BAM to Present Daniel Beaty's THE TALLEST TREE IN THE FOREST Next Weekend

Daniel Beaty gives a tour-de-force performance, playing up to 40 characters in The Tallest Tree in the Forest, a solo play, which he also wrote. It tells the life story of Paul Robeson, a towering figure among our nation's prominent African-Americans. Renowned director Moises Kaufman returns to BAM (The Laramie Project, 2013 Winter/Spring) to direct this show which has delighted and enlightened audiences from Kansas City, to LA, La Jolla, and Washington, DC. The show runs Mar 22-29, 2015.

La Jolla Playhouse Extends Run Dates for Select 2015-16 Shows, Including New Musical from Robert Lopez & Kristen-Anderson Lopez

Due to the incredible demand for subscriptions to the 2015/2016 season, La Jolla Playhouse announces a week-long extension for its first two season productions: Come from Away, a world-premiere musical written and composed by David Hein and Irene Sankoff, directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley, as well as for Up Here, a world-premiere musical comedy directed by Alex Timbers (Playhouse's Peter and the Starcatchers), featuring book, music and lyrics by the husband-and-wife team of Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who took home the Academy and Grammy Awards for Best Song with their mega-hit "Let It Go" from the Disney animated film Frozen. Come from Away will now run May 29 - July 5 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre, and Up Here will now run July 28 - September 6 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

City Lights Theater Company's 33rd season will take audiences from Victorian England to post-9/11 suburbia, from gripping drama to quirky comedy and contemporary rock. The spirited downtown company presents a six-show mainstage season at 529 S. Second St. in San Jose that offers audiences both fresh works and new takes on the classics.

CATS Opens Today at Japan Society Gallery

Since arriving in Japan aboard Chinese ships transporting sacred Buddhist scriptures in the mid-sixth century, cats have proceeded to purr and paw their way into the heart of Japanese life, folklore, and art. On view at Japan Society Gallery from today, March 13, to Sunday, June 7, 2015, Life of Cats: Selections from the Hiraki Ukiyo-e Collection illustrates the depth of this mutual attraction by mining the wealth of bravura depictions of cats to be found in ukiyo-e woodblock prints of the Edo Period (1615-1867).
