AMNH Announces Schedule of Events for May 2015

Milstein Science Series: Sea Turtles Sunday, May 3, 11 am–4:30 pm Milstein Hall of Ocean Life Free for Members or with Museum admission Sea turtles are simply astounding: they lived alongside dinosaurs 150 million years ago, and still survive today. Playing a crucial role in our oceans' ecosystems, this incredible animal group is now endangered due to climate change, poaching, habitat destruction, and accidental capture in fishing gear. Learn more about these resilient aquatic creatures and the conservation efforts in place to protect them with Eleanor Sterling, chief conservation scientist for the Museum's Center for Biodiversity and Conservation; Wallace J. Nichols, scientist and New York Times-bestselling author of Blue Mind; Michael Coyne, executive director of seaturtle.org and moderated by Curator Mark Siddall. The event includes a live music performance by Bash the Trash, playing instruments made out of reused and repurposed materials.

Photo Flash: First Look at GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES, Opening Tonight at Teatro Circulo

F.I.T.R. Productions presents Gruesome Playground Injuries, a dark, mystical and arresting love story by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo). Ash Mayfair directs Priyank Rastogi and Jaz Zepatos. Fourteen performances will be staged at Teatro Circulo, 64 East 4th Street (bet. Tickets to ERNIE at Wharton Center Now On Sale

To celebrate the Detroit Tigers opening of the 2015 season, Wharton Center is thrilled to announce the play ERNIE by Michigan's own award-winning author, Mitch Albom, as the opening show of its 2015-2016 season. ERNIE is the smash hit play about the "Voice of Summer," Ernie Harwell, and recounts the life of the beloved Tigers announcer. Austin's Euphoria Music Festival Set for This Weekend

Euphoria Music + Camping Festival, a three-day music and camping festival returning to Austin, Texas this weekend, April 10 - 12, 2015, has announced its first round of artists. Featuring both DJ and live sets, Euphoria is continuing its mission of remaining true to its electronic roots, while showcasing the genres foray into live performance. After a surprise Christmas Day announcement of Electro Hip-Hop Soul innovator Pretty Lights, the festival has added four additional headliners to the bill.

Warehouse Theatre Presents GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES, Now thru 4/18

Warehouse Theatre Company will present the Columbus premiere of Rajiv Joseph's dark comedy Gruesome Playground Injuries as part of its 2015 POP-UP Theatre series. The production will open tonight, April 10 and continue through Saturday, April 18, 2015 at AJ's Cafe, 152 East State Street.

PETER PAN Begins 4/21 at Children's Theatre Company

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) is thrilled to present Peter Pan the Musical for the first time on our stage, April 21 through June 21, 2015 on the UnitedHealth Group Stage. Ivey Award-winner Peter Rothstein directs with choreography by Joe Chvala (Flying Foot Forum). The creative team of national theatre luminaries includes Set Designer Walt Spangler (Broadway credits include A Christmas Story the Musical, Scandalous, Desire Under the Elms), Costume Designer Linda Cho (Tony Award for A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) and Sound Designer Philip S. Rosenberg (Broadway credits include The Elephant Man and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder).

CBS Sports Airs Masters for 60th Straight Year This Weekend

The Masters, the most renowned tournament in golf, will be broadcast on CBS for the 60th consecutive year from the majestic setting of Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. This year marks the 79th Masters Tournament, one of the most highly anticipated sporting events of the year. Last year, Bubba Watson won his second Masters in three years.
