For culture lovers, there's really only one place to be this autumn and that's The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival. Running from Friday till Sunday, October 2-11 the Festival boasts speakers as diverse as Ronnie Wood, Martha Lane Fox, Matthew Bourne, George the Poet, Garry Kasparov, Jeanette Winterson, Nick Clegg, Nigel Mansell, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Nick Frost, Nigella Lawson, Bill Bryson and Gino D'Acampo.

The first pictures are released today for a major new season of Anton Chekhov's early works at Chichester Festival Theatre. Newly adapted by David Hare and directed by Jonathan Kent, the productions present a unique theatrical event which will see a repertory cast of 23 actors performing 50 parts in Platonov, Ivanov and The Seagull. Snapdragon Productions today announce a UK tour of their acclaimed revival of Richard Bean's Toast, following a successful run at Park Theatre in 2014. Matthew Kelly and Simon Greenall reprise their roles as Nellie and Cecil, with full cast to be announced soon. The tour begins at the Rose Theatre Kingston from 4 - 13 February before playing eight further dates finishing at Nottingham Theatre Royal.
