Joel McHale to Host CARD SHARKS on ABC

ABC Entertainment and Fremantle announced today that actor and comedian Joel McHale is set to host “Card Sharks,” the suspenseful game where a fortune can be won on the turn of a single playing card! The show is slated to air this summer on The ABC Television Network.

BWW Review: THE DAY I BECAME BLACK at Soho Playhouse

Wake up! Bill Posley has a stunner of a story to tell, and although comedy may not resolve his existential crisis, it's a trip well worth taking with him at Soho Playhouse. Witty, fearless and 'woke as f***,' Posley describes (and often reenacts) parts of his lived experience as a biracial man in search of his identity: too black for white people, not black enough for black people. His anecdotes, amusing in their own right, are also the kind of antidote that our racially fractured country needs right now.

Ma-Yi Theater, The Award-Winning Off Broadway Company, Presents FRUITING BODIES

Ma-Yi Theater Company - which previously announced that Shelley Butler will direct the world-premiere play FRUITING BODIES by Asian-American playwright Sam Chanse - proudly announces KIMIYE CORWIN (Noises Off, Henry VI), EMMA KIKUE (God Said This, Up the Hill), JEFFREY OMURA (House Rules, Hamlet) and THOM SESMA (Superhero, Pacific Overtures) will star in the Off-Broadway production, which begins previews on April 23 prior to its official press opening on April 28 at Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street) in Manhattan.

The Rolling Stones' 'Bridges To Bremen' Concert Film To Be Released June 21

Bridges To Bremen was announced today by The Rolling Stones for release on June 21st. Presented by Eagle Vision, the previously unreleased concert film has been completely restored, remixed and remastered and will be available on digital, DVD + 2CD, Blu-ray + 2CD, triple vinyl and digital audio (pre-order here).

The Drums Release New Album 'Brutalism'

Today The Drums release its fifth album Brutalism, out now via ANTI-. The follow-up to 2017's 'Abysmal Thoughts,' which marked the band's first release as a solo project from frontman Jonny Pierce, Brutalism is quite possibly the best collection of songs in the band's ten-year career.  

Together Pangea Announce North American Tour With Vundabar

Together Pangea begin a North American tour alongside Vundabar on June 7th with a hometown launch at the Regent Theater in Los Angeles (all dates are below).  With this news comes a new track, “Never Said I Wanna,” from their upcoming Dispassionate EP, out May 31st.  The track premiered via Substream, who said 'The new single is a mix of the best parts of 90's alternative rock, while bringing in a new wave of beach-y pop sensibilities that make you want to immediately hear more.”

Reading Of VALLEY OF THE DOLLS Will Benefit Los Angeles Lgbt Center & The Alcott Center

Steve Tyler Presents has announced an all-star benefit reading of Jacqueline Susann's Valley of the Dolls, directed by Richard Hochberg, for two performances only at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre. Susann's infamous tale of cutthroat careerism, wild sex, and fierce female protagonists will be on hilarious display with performances on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, at 8pm. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Alcott Center for Mental Health Services and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Columbus Children's Theatre Heads To Neverland With PETER PAN

Columbus Children's Theatre brings back the classic show, Peter Pan, after 10 years! Under the direction of CCT alum David Bahgat and music direction of Stephanie Stephens, Peter Pan is flying into the Southern Theatre for one weekend only! Join us for a heartfelt tale of a lost boy and his sidekick Tinkerbell as they take the Darling children on an unbelievable adventure to Neverland. Travers Brothership Announce 2019 Tour

Asheville, NC-based Travers Brothership have announced a lengthy tour in support of their latest release, Let The World Decide. Starting April 5th, the Brothership takes flight into new, uncharted territory, storming the east coast and deep south with their homegrown brand of funky, improvisation-driven rock and roll. Fans can see Travers Brothership in a headlining role for roughly half of this tour while the rest of the dates will be in support of fan favorites like Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, Kyle Hollingsworth of String Cheese Incident, DJ Logic and Jeff Sipe, guitar hero Eric Gales, Southern Avenue, and JJ Grey & Mofro.

Full Cast Announced for UK Tour of Napoli, Brooklyn

Robert Cavanah as Nic, Madeleine Worrall as Luda and Laurie Ogden as Connie join the previously announced Georgia May Foote as Vita, Hannah Bristow as Fran, Mona Goodwin as Tina, Gloria Onitiri as Celia and Stephen Hogan as Albert in the 2019 European Premiere of Meghan Kennedy's NAPOLI, BROOKLYN, beginning a UK Tour on 1 May at Malvern Theatres, running through to 8 June at Oxford Playhouse. The Tour will be followed by a limited four-week season from 13 June to 13 July at Park Theatre, London, with a national press night on Monday 17 June 2019.

KILLING EVE Leads BAFTA Television Nominations

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the nominations for the 2019 Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards. These awards reward the very best in television craft and television programmes broadcast in the UK in 2018. The Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 12 May with the British Academy Television Craft Awards taking place two weeks earlier on Sunday 28 April at The Brewery, London.

Alliance 51 Announces Lineup for 2019/2020 Season
