On The Town, the first Broadway musical written by Leonard Bernstein, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, with original choreography by Jerome Robbins, will open the 2008-2009 Encores! season as part of the city-wide Leonard Bernstein 90th Birthday Celebration sponsored by Carnegie Hall and the New York Philharmonic from September through December 2008.
The New York Public Library presents the exhibition New York Story: Jerome Robbins and His World. The exhibition provides the first in-depth view of Robbins' personal archives, part of the collections of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
Joshua Dallas, Ryan Molloy and Sean Palmer will star as Gabey, Ozzie, and Chip in ENO's production of the original 'New York, New York' musical On the Town. Having broke ENO box office records in 2005, On the Town will return to the London Coliseum for 20 performances, April 20 through May 25 2007.
