'The President's Own' U.S. Marine Band, America's oldest professional musical organization, brings a FREE performance filled with tradition and fanfare to Mesa Arts Center, Saturday, October 31, at 7:30 p.m.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and the Thomas Jefferson Musical Theatre Company of Mexico City with Executive Producer Jane Bergère will present the American Premiere of ANJOU, A Tale Of Horror, October 8th at 8:00 pm, October 9th at 1:00 pm, October 11th at 8:00 pm, and October 12th at 1:00 pm - The Theater at St. Clements, 423 West 46th St. - part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

TJMTC accepted the invitation and selected a Mexican play, The Opera Pop: 'Anjou, a tale of horror' (Guillermo Mendez and Lupita Sandoval). Inspired in a page of the French history of the XVI century during the religious wars, it is based on the historic personages and novelizes some of the most sordid events of the history to develop a musical where the politics and the passions interweave themselves for lead to an electrifying work.

Based on the electrifying relationship between celebrated Roman warrior Mark Antony and sultry Egyptian queen Cleopatra, Antony and Cleopatra is set amidst the impending rise of the Roman Empire and its quest to control its exotic eastern frontiers.

Peter Nero and the Philly Pops celebrate the summer with two exciting concerts this July-the sixth annual 'Pops on Independence' free concert at Independence Hall (July 3) and 'The Best of Bernstein and the Riches of Rodgers' at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts (July 22). Join Peter and the POPS for two spectacular evenings of music under the stars!

Clinton Turner Davis directs a cast that features Arthur Bartow, Trazana Beverley, Thomas Jefferson Byrd, Gerard Catus, Lia Chaing, DK Dyson, Stu Richel, Martin Shakar, and Marie Thomas as Marie Laveau.
