The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon's preschool music group and stars of the Emmy Award-winning TV series of the same name, head back on the road for a brand-new nationwide concert tour including a stop at the Fox Theatre on Saturday, November 15 at 4:30 p.m.
On Friday, June 20th, the brightest stars of televisions below the line talent in Daytime gathered at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles to honor their own at the 41st Daytime Creative Arts EMMY Awards. Although many of the individuals associated with nominated projects may not have been household names, there were many recognizable personalities such as Ron Howard, George Lucas, Leeza Gibbons, Jack Hanna and even Cookie Monster (David Rudman). On hand to disperse awards to over 50 categories were such noted performers as Melody Thomas Scott, George Chakiris, Ashley Tisdale, Lauralee Bell and June Lockhart, who has started her 81st year as a paid actress that included her role of Maria Ramirez on General Hospital for many years. Multi-talented performer Wayne Brady (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) slips on dancing shoes for his guest-starring role in a brand-new episode of the hit live-action preschool music series, The Fresh Beat Band, premiering Sunday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. (all times ET/PT) on Nick Jr. In 'Pink Swan,' Kiki is cast as the lead in a new ballet directed by Mr. Fondu (Brady) and the Fresh Beats help her train so she's ready for her grand debut. At 7:30 p.m., Nick Jr. will encore The Fresh Beat Band concert special, which gives viewers an all-access pass to the band's high-energy live show featuring behind-the-scenes footage and more. The special will repeat Sunday, Oct. 20, at 12 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 26, at 12:30 p.m.
