Nickelodeon's THE FRESH BEAT BAND to Play CAPA, 1/14
The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon's preschool music group and stars of the hit TV series of the same name, are hitting the road again for 60 performances on their nationwide concert tour. Featuring Kiki (Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer), Marina (Tara Perry), Twist (Jon Beavers), and Shout (Thomas Hobson), The Fresh Beat Band will perform hits from seasons one, two, and three of the Nickelodeon live-action music series that teaches preschoolers about music appreciation. Songs performed include "Here We Go, "A Friend Like You," "Bananas," and "Just Like A Rockstar" among others.
CAPA presents Nickelodeon's The Fresh Beat Band at the Palace Theatre (34 E. Broad St.) on Tuesday, January 14, at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $30 and $40 at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E. The Fresh Beat Band debuted in 2009 and is now in its third season on Nickelodeon. Centered on four best friends - Kiki, Marina, Twist, and Shout - in a band who love to sing and dance, The Fresh Beat Band has preschoolers singing and dancing along in each episode as they help the group to solve everyday challenges. Preschoolers learn the fundamentals of music such as melody, rhythm, tempo, and performance styles and the importance of friendship, working together, and respecting each other's differences. Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber, and Jason Mraz have all hung out with the Fresh Beats and additional celebrity guests will appear throughout season three.
