Porchlight Music Theatre and Managing Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the Tony Award-winning Thomas 'Fats' Waller' musical revue, Ain't Misbehavin', today, February 1 - March 9, 2014, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave.

Maritz, in collaboration with the Arts and Education Council, announced today that it has awarded $30,000 in grants to eight arts education projects in the St. Louis bi-state area through the award-winning Maritz Arts and Education Fund for Teachers. Maritz and the Arts and Education Council partner to offer this unique funding opportunity to individual schools and nonprofit organizations to support projects and opportunities that encourage creativity in the classroom; the grants are administered by the Arts and Education Council and supported by Maritz. The distinctive funding program enables teachers to apply directly for a grant. Awards are granted at the beginning of the school year.

The Lake Worth Playhouse jives and wails with a musical tribute to the greats of the jazz era with Ain't Misbehavin,' a musical biography celebrating the life of Thomas 'Fats' Waller with humor and style.

Presented in Montreal for the first time in over twenty years, this classic jazz-age musical revue is revived at the Segal Centre under the direction of Roger Peace and featuring a stellar cast led by Kim Richardson and Toya Alexis. In co-production with Copa de Oro Productions and sponsored by KPMG, Ain't Misbehavin' runs from tonight, September 29th to October 20th, 2013 in the Segal Theatre.

Thomas "Fats" Waller rose to international fame during the Golden Age of the Cotton Club, honky tonk dives along Lenox Avenue, rent parties, stride piano players and that jumpin' new beat, Swing. Ain't Misbehavin' celebrates the music that Waller wrote and the music he made famous, and has the distinction of being the only musical revue to ever win the Tony Award for Best Musical.

This summer the Tony and Drama Desk award winning Ain't Misbehavin' returns to Trustus Theatre which premiered the show in Columbia during its second season. This toe-tapping revue of 'Fats' Waller tunes will take theatre-goers on an entertaining journey through an evening in a 1930s Harlem night club where 'night creatures' revel well into the early morning. This production, directed and choreographed by Trustus Company Member Terrance Henderson (Henderson Bros. Burlesque, Smokey Joe's Cafe), opens on the Thigpen Main Stage tonight, June 14th at 8:00pm. The show runs through July 20th, 2013. Tickets may be purchased at www.trustus.org.

The 2013 - 2014 season includes the Chicago premiere of the new musical farce Double Trouble, August 31 - October 6; the "Fats" Waller revue Ain't Misbehavin', February 1 - March 9, 2014, the Broadway classic How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, April 26 - June 1, 2014 and a new "Lost Musicals" series Porchlight Revisits... taking audiences to a particular time and place in Broadway musical history.
