To celebrate the upcoming production of shadow/land, playwright Erika Dickerson-Despenza has released a playlist. The production begins performances in the LuEsther Hall with a Joseph Papp Free Performance on Thursday, April 20 and runs through Sunday, May 21. shadow/land officially opens on Thursday, May 4.

The 2021 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has been awarded to U.S. playwright Erika Dickerson-Despenza for her play about the Flint, Michigan water crisis, cullud wattah. Awarded annually since 1977, The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize is the largest and oldest international prize honoring Women+ playwrights.

Last night, The Dramatists Guild Foundation celebrated Oliver Houser and Riti Sachdeva, both alumni of the DGF Fellows program, at a salon hosted by Joan and George Hornig. Houser performed songs from his body of work and Sachdeva was presented with the Thom Thomas Award in front of attendees including Stephen Schwartz.

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's Pay What You Want theatre company, has announced the final production of its ninth season, Vendetta Chrome by Sylvan Oswald, directed by Sara Lyons. There will be one preview performance on Friday, November 23, at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, November 24, at 8pm. Vendetta Chrome will play through December 15 at the Lex Theatre in Hollywood.
Broadway-Bound BEACHES Musical Will Play London in 2019

According to Entertainment Tonight, the long-anticipated Broadway premiere of Beaches the Musical will have to wait until after a London run. Iris Rainer Dart, who wrote the novel on which the musical is based told ET: 'We're just listening, refining, redoing and seeing which songs work and which ones don't.'
