Before becoming a sexagenarian, author Thom Thomas has successfully published his debut novel derived from Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol,' titled '...give or take a pebble.' This book, which is the beginning of a four-book chronicle, tells the story of Dr. Joshua Krump, a man who survives poverty, tragedies and deaths to complete his medical education and become a surgeon. Now, he releases the second book in the series, titled '...give or take a shilling.'

According to the Washington Post, Signature Theatre's 2013-14 season will include three world premiere musicals, one world-premiere play, a developmental run of a world-premiere musical, and revivals of Miss Saigon, Gypsy and The Threepenny Opera. Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer will be directing all four of the new musicals, as well as Miss Saigon.

Tony Award and Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Jane Alexander, Robert Cuccioli (GSP's The Seafarer) and Gareth Saxe (Broadway's The Homecoming), will reunite in their roles of Thom Thomas' A Moon to Dance By at the George Street Playhouse from November 17 - December 13. The three previously collaborated on the production at the REP in Pittsburgh.

Artistic Director David Saint announced today the selections for George Street Playhouse's 2009-2010 season. In this economic downturn, when many arts organizations across the country are choosing to revive popular plays and musicals, Artistic Director David Saint has instead renewed the theatre's commitment to producing new work. The 2009-10 George Street Playhouse season will feature no less than four new works and one play, still to be announced.
