Eating Their Words, reinventing the concept of ?dinner theater? by wedding a seasoned chef with prominent playwrights for an integrated evening of new cuisine and new plays, announces its upcoming June 14th collaboration with Chef David Bouley. A culinary treat, a cultural fix, and a supper-club social, the events offer attendees the World Premiere of three new plays written explicitly for their evening, coupled with the inherent theatricality of a one-of-a-kind meal inspired by the writers' work. The Sunday, June 14th event will feature the company?s second collaboration with the acclaimed Striking Viking Story Pirates. For this family event Chef Bouley creates a menu inspired by plays written by kids, and performed by adults who wish they still were. The Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival (June Lindenmayer, Executive Director; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director) has announced casting for the line-up of new works for the 2009 summer festival of theatre and dance at the venerable performing arts school in Steamboat Springs, CO. The 12th Annual New Works Festival is scheduled June 19 - 21 with staged readings of the plays and a special dance presentation.

Broadway heats up this summer now that three-time Emmy Award nominee and 'Grey's Anatomy' star Chandra Wilson has stepped into the celebrated role of Matron 'Mama' Morton, the reigning cellblock diva of the smash hit musical CHICAGO. Chandra Wilson joins the production for a four-week limited engagement which began last night, Monday, June 8 through Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.). Previews are now underway at Playwrights Horizons for the New York premiere of Our House, a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Theresa Rebeck. With this work Rebeck has again displayed the ability to challenge and impress her audiences with her thought provoking and often hilarious dialogue and plot. The playwright has successfully made her mark in the theater, film, and literary world.

Motherhood Out Loud, a new American play, conceived by Susan R.
