Studio 42 Stages WASPS Workshop, Now thru 7/28

Wasps will run from July 24th through July 28th at the Connelly Theater. July 24th- 26th performances are at 8pm, July 27th at 5pm and 9pm, and July 28th at 2pm. The Connelly Theater is located at 220 East 4th Street in Manhattan (between Avenues A and B). All tickets are $18 and can be purchased at www.stu42.com.

THE STORYTELLERS to Premiere at FringeNYC, Begin. 8/9

THE STORYTELLERS, a new play based on the short stories of Edgar Allan Poe, Saki, Robert W. Service and W.W. Jacobs, will be adapted and directed by Abigail Strange (FringeNYC/CapitalFringe's Blanche: The Bittersweet Life of a Wild Prairie Dame, NYMF's Requiem for a Lost Girl) with original music by Louis Aquilar (Theatreworks USA!) as a part of the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival. THE STORYTELLERS begins performances on Friday, August 9, 2013 and will play its final performance on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at New York City's Flamboyan Theater (107 Suffolk Street).

Annette O'Toole & Jeff McCarthy Leads Barrington Stage's SOUTHERN COMFORT, Beg. Tonight

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director, presents the BSC Musical Theatre Lab (William Finn Artistic Producer) world premiere production of Southern Comfort, a new musical with book and lyrics by Dan Collins and music by Julianne Wick Davis, directed by Thomas Caruso (Associate Director of Broadway's Matilda).

TAMAR OF THE RIVER, Starring Margo Seibert, to Launch Prospect Theater's 2013-14 Season

Prospect Theater Company will present the world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson and book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen. Directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell) and choreographed by Yin Mei, TAMAR OF THE RIVER will be the first production available through Prospect's new Membership Program.

Clive Worsley Named New Director of Artistic Learning at California Shakespeare Theater

California Shakespeare Theater has announced the appointment of Clive Worsley to the post of Director of Artistic Learning. Cal Shakes' Artistic Learning (AL) programs serve diverse students throughout the Bay Area through school residencies, Student Discovery Matinees, summer theater conservatories, and professional development for classroom teachers and teaching artists.

Berkshire Playwrights Lab to Present Staged Reading of TITLES, 7/24

Berkshire Playwrights Lab will present a staged reading of Michael Brady's Titles, directed by Giovanna Sardelli, on Wednesday, July 24 at 7:30pm at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center (14 Castle Street, Great Barrington, Mass.). There is no charge for admission, however, Berkshire Playwrights Lab suggests a $10.00 donation to help offset its programming costs.
